Meet The Team

 


Julie Barron

Julie is the Department Leader of the Preschool Department at Barron Gymnastics. In addition, she coaches Training Team. She helped create a children’s fitness program, Motion Evolution, which is licensed by over 100 children’s Activity Centers internationally. She participated in gymnastics for 11 years and retired as a Level 9 gymnast. As a Level 8 and 9 gymnast, she competed for the state of Missouri in the Region 5 competition. In 1998, she was 2nd overall in the state and was the Beam State Champion. She played collegiate soccer at Quincy University on a scholarship, where she received a degree in Marketing. She was awarded the St. Clare of Assisi Award as a senior for sportsmanship and leadership. She was President of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. She received High Academic Honors as a Scholar Athlete in the GLVC Conference for all four years of college. Julie is the daughter of the owners Joe and Diane Barron.

Scott Barron

Scott is the Department Leader of the Fitness Program. He graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in Marketing Management. He developed a tennis camp called Total Tennis which influenced over 100 children. He is a sports enthusiast, playing many organized sports, including baseball, soccer, golf, basketball, and tennis. Scott is the son of owners Joe and Diane Barron.

Melissa Barron

Melissa has been involved in gymnastics since age 3. She was a competitive gymnast, and she found her passion for coaching through her competitive experiences. She has been coaching since she was 16 years old and loves what she does. Melissa is the Department Leader of the girls instructional program, Pre-Team and Co-directs the Team Program. She coaches all levels from instructional through the USA gymnastics Jr. Olympic program. She is married and has two dogs. She looks forward to helping each gymnast reach their full potential.

Malinda Kaag

Malinda competed up to Level 6 and then started junior coaching with her mother. She has been coaching gymnastics for over 10 years. She is the Level 5 head coach at Barron Gymnastics. She was a cheerleader in high school and competed in state competitions all 4 years. In addition, she cheered at SLU and Lindenwood University. Malinda teaches a variety of classes, and she is the birthday and field trip Department Leader. She has worked here since 2004.

Kelly Miller

Kelly has been participating in gymnastics since the age of 4 and was the state bar champion as a Level 9. She was a collegiate gymnast at Southeast Missouri State University. She has a degree in Health Management: Sports Medicine and Exercise Science. Kelly is the Department Leader of the Tramp and Tumble, Back Handspring and Tumble, and Cheer Squad Tumbling Programs. She also directs the Achievement League Competitions, Specialty Clinics, and Sleepovers.

Lucy Kreader

Lucy is the Office Department Leader at Barron Gymnastics. She has worked at Barron for over 14 years. She has two beautiful daughters. Her grand-daughter, Nichole, takes gymnastics at Barron. Her youngest daughter did gymnastics for 13 years and retired as a Level 10 gymnast. Lucy’s oldest daughter coached gymnastics for 8 years.

Karen Moleski

Karen is the Assistant Office Manager at Barron Gymnastics. She has worked at Barron for over 14 years. She home educated her four children and has two adorable grand-children, Kate and Bryten, along with a fantastic daughter-in-law. Karen’s daughter was a competitive gymnast at Barron Gymnastics and is now a teacher here. Her granddaughter takes gymnastics classes here too.
 

Barbara Lutsky

Barbara manages customer service at Barron Gymnastics. Her daughter, Bethany, was a competitive gymnast at Barron and also works at Barron as a teacher. She loves to travel and has been to England, Italy, and Australia. She is the grandmother of Kaylie, who attends Barron Gymnastics. Barbara has worked at Barron Gymnastics for over 13 years.
