STAFF AND CURRICULUM-SPECIFIC GUIDELINES
- Staff health screening including temperature checks and a completion of a questionnaire prior to their shifts.
- Providing masks for all of our employees. Teachers will wear mask when they are within 6′.
- Teachers will wear masks when spotting is necessary for safe learning.
- Class times will be 55-minutes, allowing for a complete lesson while providing a safe traffic flow between classes.
- Lesson plans specifically designed to teach pod style classes. Following CDC recommendations, there is no mixing of classes or teachers throughout your child’s instruction. Our custom curriculum allows for the alternating and staggering of turns to increase learning time while creating a safe and positive environment.
- Scaled our number of classes offered per hour to provide 6′ social distancing.
- Staggered our class start and end times.
- Designed a clearly marked gym layout to provide social distancing for our teachers and students while in class.
- Provided numerous sanitation stations in the gym so students and teachers can disinfect their hands regularly throughout class.
- Removed any gymnastics equipment that is not in full use to guarantee that we are capable of cleaning surfaces after they are used.
- Removed small teaching props that are difficult to disinfect.
- Eliminated the communal use of gymnastics chalk.
FACILITY GUIDELINES
- Our seating and viewing area is clearly marked and spaced. We are encouraging drop off/pick up for school age children.
- Created separate entrances and exits. One-way directional arrows on the floor will alleviate traffic while ensuring 6 ft. space is respected. Additional markers will provide reminders of social distancing.
- Added 1,500 square feet of padded area for safe spacing between independent stations and additional high quality instruction.
- Hired Hillyard, a local professional cleaning company. After completing a full walk through of our facility, they designed a cleaning and disinfecting system/schedule unique to our building and the customers we serve.
- Set up a schedule for our entire facility to be regularly disinfected even when classes are in session.
- Providing numerous sanitation stations throughout the facility.
- Shut down drinking fountains.
- Installed plexiglass shield at our customer service desk.

Per St. Louis County they are requiring that if these individuals would like to view class, they must wear a face shield (provide extra at front desk). Please note that Barron Gymnastics offers a drop off option that is convenient and safe for your child if this option does not work for you.

- Sanitize your hands in the facility with provided sanitation stations.

SCHOOL AGE STUDENTS – DROP OFF
Based on St. Louis County Guidelines for spectator social distancing, our school age students are on a viewing schedule. We will email you with the viewing schedule, so that you are aware of which weeks one healthy caregiver is able to view. If you choose not to view, the drop off option is always available and encouraged if possible.
When it is not your viewing week, school age students will need to utilize our drop off option, unless you fall within the following scenarios.
- It is your child’s first class. We understand that this is an important time for your child to get acclimated to gymnastics at Barron. If you would like to view their first class, we will accommodate this circumstance. Our office staff will have your child’s name marked for check in.
- Due to a special circumstance involving your child, you need to view your child’s class. Please call so that our office staff can determine if the situation allows for viewing and they will mark your child’s name for the special accomodation at check in.
