Our journey began in 1978 with a simple yet powerful mission: “Building Skills for Life.” From humble beginnings in a small gym at Windsor Elementary School, we’ve grown into something truly remarkable. Now, as we flip the page to 2025, we celebrate 47 incredible years of dedication, growth, and unforgettable moments. Tumbling into the new year, let’s take a moment to look back at the highlights and cherished memories that made 2024 so special.
Quick Stats
This year, we made a huge impact on our community and our students. We taught 2,628 athletes, held 13,728 classes, had 480 team practices, and celebrated successes with 8 Ribbon & Stars Show Off Months! We offered two instructional performances where we decorated 344 of our gymnasts with ribbons, certificates, and trophies to congratulate them on all of their hard work throughout the year at their classes. We couldn’t be prouder of our students.
Our Special Activities are just that – super SPECIAL!
When we talk about “Building Skills for Life,” it is important to us that we extend this mission far past our classes in order to impact our community. We held 37 camps, bringing joy to 2,348 children. Our back handspring clinics benefitted 336 athletes, providing exceptional training from our experienced coaches that are trained specifically on tumbling technique. Lastly, we celebrated over 90 birthdays, making sure that your child has a special day at a place where children are special every day! We even added exclusive glow birthday parties to our menu of fabulous activities!
NEW just for YOU – Upgrades
- Upgraded Ribbon & Stars Program: Students now have the opportunity to earn an exclusive Barron Gold Medal in addition to ringing the move-up bell! It’s our way of recognizing their hard work and dedication.
- New Equipment: We added a 30-foot long trampoline for tumbling, ninja steps to elevate our boys ninja program, new bar rails and spring boards, a custom cheese wedge for skill building and new landing mats, providing safe landings.
- Fresh Look and Enhanced Communication: The entire gym has been freshly repainted, providing a clean, vibrant space for our students. We’ve also added new signage that not only celebrates our students but also strengthens communication throughout our facility.
Barron Gives Back
We collectively raised money for our organization, Champions Against Cancer, throughout the year. This year, we raised an astounding $21,200 between swim schools and Barron Gymnastics, along with 100+ gifts donated.
Team Program
The 2023-2024 season’s team theme was “Believe in Your Potential,” and our girls showed up at each practice and competition with a strong belief in themselves and a determination to reach their potential. Over the course of the season, our teams had 92 First Place finishes, 107 Second Place finishes, and 57 Third Place finishes. Last but not least, we had countless state champions!
Barron offered positive and competitive opportunities for gymnasts both in our area and across the nation. We hosted our 27th Annual Barron Invitational competition. It was the largest ever with 676 gymnasts! The skilled coaches and experienced event staff established a setting that both pushed the gifted gymnasts and offered chances for enjoyment and building confidence.
Expanding into Ballwin
We are thrilled that Barron Gymnastics is expanding into a second location in Ballwin! This state-of-the-art facility will open in the fall of 2025 and will allow us to bring our “Building Skills for Life” mission to even more families in the community. Stay tuned for updates as we prepare to take the leap into Ballwin!
